The Hungarian camerawoman who lost her job after footage emerged of her tripping a refugee says she will sue Facebook and the refugee involved.
Petra Laszlo is on trial for hooliganism in Hungary, a crime that carries up to three years' jail, but she will likely walk away with a suspended sentence.
In an interview with Russian newspaper 'Izvestia', Laszlo said Facebook played a major role in her situation by refusing to take down threatening posts while taking down ones that supported her.
Laszlo also plans to sue the refugee involved, who she claims changed his account to police after the incident and her “husband wants to prove her innocence”.
Laszlo also told the paper about the difficulty she’s had getting a job since the incident and she plans to move to Russia with her husband and children.
