A large swarm of bees brought chaos to Greenwich in southeast London on Tuesday evening, interrupting traffic and sending pedestrians running for cover.
"The pedestrian crossing on Greenwich one way system is partially obstructed by bees," Transport for London announced on its Twitter account. "Please approach with caution."
Numerous images of the swarm were posted on social media, with witnesses reporting that a pair of traffic lights appeared to be at the centre of the swarm.

Local business owner Abigail Herinold told the British Press Association the situation was "absolutely crazy".
"I went to walk towards my car, they were on the traffic lights. Millions of them on the traffic lights. And then at that point they'd come lower so they were actually buzzing around the people," she said
"While I was videoing them I looked down and I could see literally the front of me covered in bees. They were on me. They were on everybody. They were in your hair, on your top."
"It was quite exciting really."
A local bee-keeper reportedly showed up on the scene to help remove the swarm.
"Nobody was stung here today," he told reporters.
"They're very calm and very docile when they're swarming."
