Setting a very early morning alarm, or just staying up, to watch the Socceroos take on Egypt? Good news — you've got plenty of ways to watch.

Australia's Round of 32 FIFA World Cup match against Egypt could deliver a historic moment, with the Socceroos chasing their first-ever win in the tournament's knockout stages.

While the team is scheduled to play at Dallas Stadium in Texas, millions are expected to cheer them on in Australia, with cities planning to show the early-morning match at public sites, stadiums, and pubs.

When is Australia v Egypt?

Kick-off is 4am AEST on Saturday.

Which pubs will show Australia v Egypt?

If you want to avoid long queues at public viewing sites across Australia, consider visiting a pub instead, as more pubs tend to open during the match, with some states showing greater flexibility in their opening hours.

Sydney

All broadcasting venues in NSW will be allowed to open from 3 am, while those that would otherwise close at 1am or 2am can stay open all night.

Melbourne

In Victoria, all venues that broadcast the match will be allowed to stay open all night.

Brisbane

Pubs and clubs across Queensland will also be allowed to trade from 3am to 7am on match day, provided they're open primarily to broadcast the match.

Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Darwin and Tasmania

Eligible venues in Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory can also apply for extended trading approvals where required
