Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles says Labor understands the concerns of Australian voters, after new opinion polls showed support for One Nation is growing.
Mr Marles says the government's cost-of-living policies are helping Australians. He says Labor supports higher wages and penalty rates, while One Nation and the Coalition do not.
"We are for cost of living relief, and those parties are not, and that includes One Nation. ... If they were different to that, they would be supporting penalty rates. One Nation would support increases in the minimum wage. They do not. They are about lesser wages, and they are about making it tougher for Australians."

A United Nations-backed report warns hunger is worsening in Gaza as aid deliveries fall and the conflict continues.
It says 1.2 million people faced serious food shortages between April and June, rising to 1.4 million by the end of the year.
The report also warns recent improvements in child malnutrition could be lost.
UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric says restrictions on aid and continuing violence are to blame.
"Despite (the) life-saving impact of humanitarian aid, the number of those facing a high level of food insecurity is expected to rise in the coming months to 1.4 million people, roughly 70 per cent of the population. This is the bitter toll of restrictions on aid, access and continuing violence."

The Royal Commission into Antisemitism and Social Cohesion will examine links between police and Jewish security groups.
The inquiry heard Jewish families, schools and community organisations are still paying much of the cost of their own security.
It was told government funding since 2023 has covered only about half the costs faced by the Executive Council of Australian Jewry.
Liberal MP Julian Leeser will give evidence today on the impact of rising antisemitism and hate speech.

To sport now,
It's a big weekend for AFL and NRL, with the codes each fielding blockbuster clashes tonight [[Friday]] in the lead up to their respective grand finals.
In AFL, Collingwood has won six consecutive games, the latest against Adelaide, beating the Crows by 34 points on Thursday [[23 July]] night.
AFL commentator Matthew Richardson told Sunrise the team is defying expectations and he believes the side are contenders for the finals.
"At the start of that run, people were questioning whether Collingwood were going to participate in the finals this year. Well I certainly think they are now. It was a terrific win last night. A high pressure game over there in Adelaide. Look, Adelaide started really well in this game, three quick goals to Collingwood just before half time kept them in the game. And then after half time it was just a totally different contest."
