SBS speaks to former Treasurer Wayne Swan on Australia's new super guarantee

From 1 July, the minimum superannuation an employer will be required to pay will be 12%. Australians eligible for government-funded Parental Leave Pay will also be paid superannuation for the first time, the Australian Taxation Office to pay the 12 % guarantee directly into their super fund.
