10 questions with year 10 student and keen writer Wyanita Tranter

Wyanita has a passion for writing, and we thought it would be great to share her story, by asking her 10 questions, and her tips for surviving year 10.

Over the next two weeks, NITV will be graced with a talented Wyanita Tranter who is a year 10 student doing her work experience with us.

Wyanita has a passion for writing and we thought it would be great to share her story, by asking her 10 questions, and her tips to survive year 10.

10 questions for Wyanita Tranter:

Who are you and who’s your mob?

My name is Wyanita Tranter. I am 15 years old and my star sign is Capricorn. My mum is from the Ait Koedal clan on Saibai Island up in the Torres Strait and my dad is Kamilaroi.

What school are you attending?

I am currently in year 10 at Kingsgrove North High School.

Why did you choose NITV as a place to do your work experience?

I chose NITV for work experience because I really want to go into the entertainment industry and felt that NITV would be a good place to start.

Do you embrace digital technology and why?

Digital technology is a big part of my life especially with me being a teenager in this day and age.

What are you top three apps and why?

My top three apps are social media apps Facebook and Twitter, and the third would have to be a game called Bigfoot. These are probably the apps I use most, Twitter to keep up with celebrities and such, and Facebook to talk to my friends. Bigfoot is a game I really enjoy.

What are your top three books and why?

My favourite books are, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Throne of Glass, both are the first books in a series. The other book is Eleanor and Park which is a romance novel set in a small town.

What are your top three TV shows and/or movies and why?

Top three TV shows are Young Justice, The IT Crowd and my favourite movie is Ender’s Game.

What are you passionate about and why is this important?

I don’t know what I’m passionate about yet but hopefully I will find out.

Who inspires you and why?

My older sister inspires me greatly. Her positive attitude, bubbly personality and joking smile always inspires me to be a better person.

If you could change anything in this world what would it be?

If I could change anything in this world it would probably be the need for money.
