A 21-year-old Yorta Yorta woman has put a video of herself singing on, generating in over 47K views and over 800 shares.

Celeste Morgan of Melbourne uploaded the video her private Facebook account, and with the encouragement from family and friends she has since created a page for herself.

The song is Love on the Brain by Rihanna, from the 2016 album 'ANTI', but Celeste makes it her own with power and soul.

Celeste told NITV that she started singing at a very young age,

“As young as one,” she says. “I’ve always loved to sing and my family know all about it."

Celeste has never taken vocal lessons or classes, and says that it was her mother who inspired her to start singing.

Celeste describes her mother as, “never really been a singer, but has an ear for the notes to hit."

With all the many positive reactions she has received since uploading the video in late May, Celeste admits it came as a gratifying shock.

“I actually didn’t think anybody would take much notice of the video so I was really surprised.

Lately I have been wanting to chase my dream, and the support from everybody because of that video made me realise a lot.”

Celeste told NITV she had performed at a lot of places locally in Melbourne, mainly at events.

She has considered going on reality competition shows like the Voice or X Factor, but for now she would like to remain independent.

She does, however, have goals to be a working musician. “I believe I can. And when you believe, anything can happen. I will need the love and support from my people so please show it”.

Celeste says she will upload more videos on social media, “so sit tight”.
