Ahead of Australia's first participation at the Pacific Games in July, the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has amended its constitution to recognise Australia's First Peoples (SBS)

The new passage in the AOC Constitution reads that the Australian Olympics is committed: “To recognise the heritage, culture and contribution of our nation’s First Peoples and to give practical support to Indigenous reconciliation through sport.”
