Binge on Shuga Season 1

Love, Sex and Money is a story of fun-loving, short-sighted, hard-working, love-making, dream-chasing, heart-breaking and well-meaning youth. All that in season two of Shuga.

Shuga Season 2 Premiere

Season One of Shuga was not without controversy. Senior generation of Kenyans were reportedly offended because it contained some scenes that contained sexually explicit content. But there’s not denying that this show has broken down boundaries in addressing important issues of sexual health, whilst introducing us to characters we’ve grown to know and love.

We followed the lives and loves of young students whose future were balanced on a knife edge due to their love of risk and danger. Modern girl Ayira (Lupita Nyong'o) knew what she wanted and how to get it. She developed passion with an older man at the expense of a longtime lover Ty. Two lovers Virginia and Leo faced various obstacles in their relationships but they were determined to make it work.
