Concerns over SA Aboriginal Heritage Act changes

The Aboriginal Legal rights Movement says it will lose the freedom to negotiate over mining plans on traditional lands if the South Australia's Aboriginal Heritage Act is amended.

But Mineral Resources minister Tom Koutsantonis says the current Aboriginal Heritage Act is "confrontational" and creates "unnecessary" red tape.
