In Port Adelaide’s last game of the season, the team equaled the record for fielding the greatest number of Indigenous players in a game.

The Marngrook panel paid tribute to the club in its show on Thursday, with the audience greeting the announcement from co-host Grant Hansen with loud applause.

"A lot of other people might not take that much notice,” co-host Gilbert McAdam said.

“But former players, who know how hard it is to play AFL when you’re Indigenous, especially back in the older days, they'll be proud of that.

Because they’ll be saying ‘Oh, I was a part of that, I was a trailblazer’.

The Power players for the round 23 game were Nathan Krakouer, Jarman Impey, Chad Wingard, Patrick Ryder, Jake Neade, Brendon Ah Chee and Karl Amon.

The Power record equals that set by Freemantle Dockers.
