A dispute between the operators of the Century Zinc Mine in north-west Queensland and an Aboriginal group is continuing.
About 100 protesters took over the kitchen and canteen at the mine, about 200 kilometres north of Mount Isa, on Sunday in a row over a land use agreement and Aboriginal artefacts.
The mine's operator, Pasminco, say it is continuing talks with Aboriginal elders to determine how best to resolve the dispute.
Pasminco spokesman Trevor Shard says about 40 protesters remain at the site.
He says issues being discussed include that of Aboriginal artefacts stored on the site.
Broader issues relate to the Gulf Communities Agreement Review.
He says the Aboriginal people believe they were not adequately consulted during the review, and the company's committed to revisiting the process.
Mr Shard says Queensland Government representatives will visit the mine today to try and solve the dispute.
