Incoming Opposition Leader Angus Taylor has announced a reshuffle of the shadow ministry, a move that has seen several of his factional allies return to the frontbench, while relegating backers of deposed Liberal leader Sussan Ley.
Warlpiri woman Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has been reinstated into the opposition frontbench as Shadow Minister for Small Business and Shadow Minister for Skills and Training, months after being stripped of her portfolios following unfounded comments about Indian migrants.
Julian Leeser has picked up the portfolio of Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians while retaining the portfolio for education.
Leeser previously held the Indigenous Australians portfolio under the Dutton opposition, but resigned from the frontbench in 2023 to support the Indigenous Voice to Parliament.
South Australia Senator Kerrynne Liddle has held the position since the last election but has not been named in the new cabinet line up.
Opposition Leader Angus Taylor says his team blends experience with the next generation.
"A Coalition government that I would lead will restore Australia's standard of living and protect our way of life," he said.
It comes after Sussan Ley announced her resignation last week, after being dumped from the Liberal leadership.
Jacinta Nampijinpa Price was ousted from the shadow ministry last September, after unfounded comments about Indian migrants and failing to back Sussan Ley's leadership of the Coalition.
The Northern Territory Senator refused to apologise for comments she made during an interview with the ABC, falsely claiming the federal government was prioritising Indian migrants to bolster the Labor vote.
Senator Price was then sacked from her position as Shadow Defence Industry Minister after failing to endorse Sussan Ley's leadership.
Sussan Ley later formally apologised for Senator Price on behalf of the Liberal Party.
In the wake of the 2025 federal election, Senator Price jumped ship from the Nationals to the Liberals, following the worst election result for the Coalition in 80 years.
Senator Price backed Angus Taylor to become deputy leader of the Liberal Party after Peter Dutton lost his seat of Dickson at the election.
At the time she expressed interest in becoming the deputy leader of the party, but later failed to nominate herself for the position when Angus Taylor went for the leadership.
Senator Price served as the Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians under the Dutton shadow ministry following Julian Leeser's resignation, but lost the portfolio to South Australia Senator Kerrynne Liddle under Sussan Ley's leadership.
