Former Liberal Party leader and Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull says he will challenge Tony Abbott's leadership. Who would be a better PM for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples?

Mr Turnbull on Monday afternoon resigned from cabinet in a bid to force a leadership ballot.

Both he and the Foreign Minister Julie Bishop met with the Prime Minister earlier today to request the leadership ballot.

For us, the question is: what happens to Indigenous Affairs? Tony Abbott anointed himself the PM for Indigenous Affairs when he was elected.
