#LestWeForget: commemorations of ANZAC Day from home

The coronavirus restrictions haven't stopped people from their own commemorations of Anzac Day from their front lawn or driveway this morning.

This year ANZAC Day was commemorated a bit differently across the country.

Coronavirus restrictions meant that marches and Dawn Services could not go ahead with the usual crowds.

War Memorials held small ceremonies with just a handful of dignitaries and officials.

At the War Memorial in Canberra, which usually sees thousands of people gather on ANZAC Day, there were only a few in attendance today.

One of them was Lynton Robbins, who played the didgeridoo for the small gathering.

While many people remembered the ANZACS from their front lawn or driveway this morning.

Or used the power of social media to share photos of loved ones, and pay their respects to the ANZACs.

Others used social media to talk about the battles fought on Australian soil.
