The CEO of the Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS), Harold Rudolph Kirby, will face court in December on four charges, including two counts of rape.
As reported by the Sunraysia Daily, Mr Kirby has been charged for two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, and two counts of assault with act of indecency.
The organisation, based in Mildura, told NITV News in a statement that he been stood down.
“Keith Hampton is acting CEO while Rudolph Kirby is on personal leave," the statement said.
“Mr Kirby has been stood down pending the outcome of the matter."
The organisation declined to clarify whether or not Mr Kirby was being paid in the interim, stating that it would not make further comment at this time.
A trial is to be held at New South Wales District Court at Griffith on December 2, and is expected to take four to five days.
