NITV staff are very keen to meet with as many people in as many places as possible. We want to be able to talk about the issues in your areas as well as the plans for the channel and what you think of them.

In early July, we trucked across to Adelaide and with the South Australian Film Corporation and Screen Australia met with heaps of South Oz film makers and community members. A week after that, we got a fantastic reception from about 70 Murri film makers in Brisbane.

The sessions provided an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in South Australia – especially producers – to voice their thoughts on Indigenous cultural heritage, stories, ideas and aspirations.

There was also the opportunity for content producers to meet with NITV Commissioning team.

NITV is committed to building the South Australian Indigenous production industry, guiding first time producers through the best avenues for getting their projects up.

Over the next few weeks, we’re planning to meet up with film makers and community reps from Melbourne, Dubbo and … Lajamanu!!!!
