From Cradle Mountain in Tasmania to Kangaroo Island in Western Australia each episode of Ernie Dingo’s new travel show explores new and impelling locations.

Episodes kick-off with Ernie meeting traditional owners as well as locals from all walks of life, including a ‘foodologist’, a wildlife conservationist and a landscape photographer. Get an insight into what it's like to live and work in each destination from the perspectives of traditional owners and locals. One highlight from the series involves Ernie taking a special journey back to his hometown of Mullewa on the Murchison River in Western Australia.

The new series opens with Ernie heading into the wilderness of Tasmania to hike up Cradle Mountain. Here, he meets with a wildlife conservationist and is introduced to a Tasmanian devil. It’s an action-packed episode which finishes with an important yarn with a local Tasmanian man who shares his inside knowledge of Tasmania’s Indigenous culture and history.

Series producer Rima Tamou says the unique nature of the travel show and Ernie’s relaxed, cheeky presenting style are key to the series’ success.

“We received such positive feedback from the first short three-part series,” he says. The program’s structure is uniform but the ever-changing places and people means that each episode is unique, and the essence for me is always the often candid insight from the wonderful people Ernie meets who share with our audiences a window into their world.”
