NITV, Australia’s Exclusive broadcaster of this year’s Pacific Games, will bring audiences all the sporting action when the tournament kicks off from 4 July.

In two Australian firsts, viewers will be able to catch all the Games’ action on free-to-air television and cheer on Australian athletes as they compete in four sporting areas for the first time.

This year’s Pacific Games will welcome 4,000 athletes from 24 neighbouring Pacific nations to Port Moresby for an adrenaline-charged sporting exchange of 28 varied sports and disciplines

Between the 4 and 18 July, NITV will broadcast more than 90 hours of live coverage from the host city of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

NITV will broadcast both the opening and closing ceremonies, and more than seven hours of dedicated programming daily, with commentary from rugby-union great and former Wallabies captain Mark Ella, and broadcaster Tuipoloa Evan Charlton.

  • The 2015 Pacific Games will be the first time Australia has participated in the event and the third time Papua New Guinea has hosted.
