Courtney Act and Tony Armstrong will head to Switzerland for the 69th Eurovision song contest in May.

It's almost that time of year again!

The Eurovision Song Contest, that celebration of glam looks and cheesy lyrics, returns next month for its 69th year.

Airing exclusively on SBS, the show comes with extra star power this year: beloved Barranbinya man Tony Armstrong will present the live broadcast, along with entertainer Courtney Act.
A former AFL star, Armstrong has since gone on to a stellar career in broadcasting, even winning two Logies along the way.

From taking marks on the pitch, to marking pitch on the stage, Armstrong said he can't

“I’m so excited to jump into the world of Eurovision with the one and only Courtney Act who has already taken me under her wing," said Armstrong.

"I’m definitely not envious of her brilliance and my jealousy won’t make it on screen I promise."
From Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 May, the contest will air live at 5:00am AEST on SBS and SBS On Demand.

Behind the scenes and exclusive access footage will air from 7.30pm Friday to Sunday.

37 acts will compete against their international competitors live on stage at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland, following Swiss act Nemo's win in Malmö Sweden last year.
In 2025, SBS celebrates 50 years of broadcasting bold, real, restless content to Australians.

This year also marks 10 years of Australia competing in the event, officially beginning in 2015 with Guy Sebastian and his song Tonight Again, and most recently Electric Fields with their song One Milkali (One Blood).

This year see's Go-Jo representing Australia with his song Milkshake Man.

Armstrong and Act will be your guides through the trials and triumphs of the world's favourite song contest.

"Eurovision holds such a special place in so many hearts around the world," said Armstrong.

"I look forward to being a part of the spectacle along with Courtney!”
