Royal Commission to hear evidence from survivor of abuse in Salvation Army children's home

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse will be examining case studies into the YMCA next month and the Salvation Army early next year.

One of those determined to tell her story is Jo Parker-Brooks.

Mrs Parker-Brooks told NITV News the Royal Commission is the first in a long line of steps that need to be taken to bring out the extent of the abuse suffered by children in institutions.

She says will tell the Commission about her experiences as a 9-year-old in a Salvation Army children's Home.
