Sam Burgess to make NRL comeback in All Stars game

Sam Burgess from South Sydney Rabbitohs is set to return to rugby league on the World All Stars side early next year.

Sam Burgess will join the newly formed World All Stars against the Indigenous All Stars at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 13 February 2016.

Players from the World All Stars team come from Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Samoa, England and Wales.
They include captain Cameron Smith, Jarrod Croker, Antonio Winterstein and Tyson Frizell, and are coached by Wayne Bennett

The Indigenous All Stars, captained by Johnathan Thurston, include players Greg Inglis, Martin Taupau, Sam Thaiday and Alex Johnson, and are coached by Laurie Daley. 

The Indigenous side is aiming to win the pre-season fixture for the third straight time.

Greg Inglis, Alex Johnston, Will Chambers, Blake Ferguson, Dane Gagai, Ben Barba, Johnathan Thurston (capt), Ryan James, Nathan Peats, Sam Thaiday, Greg Bird, Joel Thompson, Chris Grevsmuhl.

Interchange: Andrew Fifita, Wade Graham, Tyrone Peachey, James Roberts, Tyrone Roberts, Ray Thompson, Jack Wighton. Coach: Laurie Daley

World All Stars team

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Semi Radradra, Jarrod Croker, Josh Morris, Antonio Winterstein, Gareth Widdop, Trent Hodkinson, James Graham, Cameron Smith (capt), Paul Gallen, Tyson Frizell, Simon Mannering, Sam Burgess.

Interchange: Tom Burgess, Kane Evans, Robbie Farah, Lachlan Maranta, Nene McDonald, Trent Merrin, Martin Taupau. Coach: Wayne Bennett
