Sydney Swans Lewis Jetta who will record the acknowledgement to country.

Starting tomorrow night, Mr Jetta will deliver an 'acknowledgement of country' prior to the Sydney Swans match against Collingwood,

The idea was instigated by the Indigenous players at the Sydney club.

"You know, we've got Buddy and Goodesy, but I'm the one that's doing it. I enjoy it and for us to come up with it and do that from us three, it's good. It’s special. It shows respect to the elders of the past that lived out that way and also where we're from as well," said Mr Jetta.

On the field, Mr Jetta and his team are busy preparing for their match against the Magpies tomorrow night.

"Collingwood always have a lot of fans and when we play them at ANZ [Stadium], it's always going to be a great game, it's always going to be close. The good thing is we've had two weeks to get ready and I think everyone's preparation is good and everyone is prepared to make it really hard for Collingwood and you can see just this morning that people are switched on and ready to go," said Mr Jetta.

Both clubs will battle for their first win of the 2014 AFL season at 7:40pm, Saturday.
