Natalie Ahmat: A Stolen Generations advocate who renounced her Australian Citizenship back in 2010 is fighting to establish a consulate in Western Australia, for members of the Stolen Generation.

WA Correspondent Craig Quartermaine travelled to Fremantle, south of Perth to bring us this story.

Craig Quartermaine: It's a small and humble dwelling on a busy main road intersection but Judith Kelly wants to establish her consulate for members of the stolen generation.

Judith Kelly, Stolen Generation Advocate: Well I'm Stolen Generation. I have my own problems and I feel that stolen generations people aren't being incorporated in some of this. We follow everyone else, we have the same problem, but in different ways.

Craig Quartermaine: Ms Kelly has lived in this area for the past week and with other groups opposed to development and other social issues she feels she has found a place to launch the consulate.
...I feel that stolen gens people aren't being incorporated in some of this we follow everyone else we have the same problem but in different ways.
Judith Kelly: So eventually I decided on the 12th of August that I'd do my idea of what I've been trying to think of...actually do it.

So this consulate is to keep me protected. I renounced my citizenship and I felt really good. I feel like I haven't been a part of anything, and I thought I would instigate something like this to help me for protocols to the Department of Foreign Affairs to start relations between an Aboriginal person who's trying to help her people, and her people are trying to help me.

Craig Quartermaine: Ms Kelly says she was due to be evicted at 3pm yesterday and she has placed this notification on the building declaring her intention to stay.

Judith Kelly: Where is the compensation for the Stolen Generation? It's such parliamentary privilege in all that place. They've stopped funding. Where are the reparations for the Stolen Generation?
