What is the Reconciliation Film Club?

The Reconciliation Film Club supports organisations to host screenings of a curated selection of compelling documentaries from Australia’s leading Indigenous filmmakers, and Indigenous news and current affairs.

Hosting a screening of a Reconciliation Film Club documentary is an opportunity to bring people together to develop a deeper understanding of Indigenous peoples' perspectives and histories, ignite conversation and spark change.

The documentaries can help drive discussions and awareness in your office, school or community; are a thought-provoking way of increasing engagement in your Reconciliation Action Plan; as well as an accessible and informative National Reconciliation Week event option – and beyond.

Reconciliation Australia, NITV and SBS are proud partners of Reconciliation Film Club and work together to update film offerings and assist you in hosting your screening.

How does it work?

Read about the different films on offer on the Reconciliation Film Club. When you have decided which documentary suits your need and audience, fill in this form to request a copy of the film. If screening more than one film, please fill in separate forms for each.

Reconciliation Australia will then get in touch with you via your supplied email address and put you in contact with the film’s distributor, who will raise an invoice for the license and will provide you access to the film in a format most appropriate for your viewing.

How much does it cost?

$99 - small community organisations and screenings of less than 50 people
$250 - screenings up to 100 people
$500 - screenings up to 200 people
$750 - large screenings with more than 200 people

Please note that all revenue goes directly to the producers of the film.
