A young black woman in the US goes viral after posing as a victimised Republican and duping Trump supporters into paying her college tuition.

A woman in the US who posed as a Trump supporter whose family 'cut her off' for her political views has reportedly raised over $100,000 on a crowdfunding site.

She posted on Twitter more than a week ago, calling herself a 'Reformed Republican' and loudly tweeting her support for the US president with the hashtags 'Blacks for Trump' and 'Make America Great Again'.

"I will not hide any longer," she tweeted under the handle @chckpeas.

"The left has made us feel as if us black republicans should hide!! but not anymore!!"

The viral tweet was followed a few days later with a plea: she claimed her parents were now refusing to pay her college tuition and kicking her out of home because of her newly found political beliefs.

She asked fellow Trump supporters if they could chip in to "help this young, black Republican pay for school".
The tweets included a link to a Go Fund Me page and supposed text messages from her mother telling her she had two weeks to move out.

And then came the kicker. One day after pleading for financial help, she tweeted this: "Trump is a racist, homophobic, transphobic, bigot AND YOU THINK MY BLACK ASS WOULD SUPPORT THAT ROTTING CARROT?? ridiculous."
The Go Fund Me link has been taken down, but tweets suggest she raised more than $100,000 from duped Trump supporters.

A tweet also suggests she has used the funds to buy a new iPhoneXS.
