A First Nations mother-of-four has made headlines for her quick-thinking barb delivered straight to the nation's top pollie.
Prime minister Scott Morrison was glad-handing the patrons of the Edgeworth Tavern pub in Newcastle when smiling Kamilaroi woman Chantelle Howlett asked for a photo opportunity.
While posing next to a beaming Scomo, Ms Howlett declared "Congratulations on being the worst Prime Minister we've ever had..."
Mr Morrison quickly realised he could not count on Ms Howlett's vote and turned away.
Ms Howlett's video has since gone viral.
In replies to questions from fans and followers, Ms Howlett described the moments before and after her photobomb.
"I'm kicking myself for not having a plan in place for this situation..." Ms Howlett wrote to one reply.
"[It's] the best i could do on short notice."
The Kamilaroi woman said the prime minister initially thanked her for her words.
"[Then] processed what I said... and turned his back on me," she wrote to another user.
It wasn't the only unfortunate event for Mr Morrison during the unannounced visit to the local pub.
The prime minister was accosted by a senior who loudly dressed him down over several issues, including the cost of living and the government's failure to introduce a promised federal corruption commission.
"This is what you said when you got elected last time: 'We're going help all those people that worked all their lives, paid their taxes and those that have a go, get a go'," the man said.
"Well, I've had a go, mate, I've worked all my life and paid my taxes."
It doesn't bode well for a prime minister and government languishing in the polls. Mr Morrison is expected to call an election within days, and begin campaigning in earnest to keep his job.
With many more photo opportunities on the horizon, the prime minister will be hoping for better luck on the hustings.
