Samsung and the Foundation for Young Australians have united to form The Propeller Project, an online platform supporting social-change initiatives led by young Australians.
The Community Conversations campaign was one of 14 projects to receive a $1,000 grant to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
Suicide is the leading cause of death among young Australians, and it can be up to five times higher within Indigenous communities.
This alarming statistic motivated 17-year-old Will Austin, from Ballarat in Victoria, to begin the Community Conversations campaign.
"When I saw the devastating statistics of the youth suicide rates of the Indigenous youth, that really motivated me and the whole group to do our best to stop this issue," said Mr Austin.
Will Austin saw his friend suffering from depression and got involved with the project to prevent suicide in Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
His short film reminds young Australians that the simple question, ‘Are you okay?’ could help save a life.
"We get that life isn't easy, but we're here to tell you that no matter what, suicide is not the option. There is more support out there than what you think, turn to community, ask for help, you are never alone,” said Mr Austin.
