Energy company offers anti-nuclear protesters tour of project
Published
The power and energy company that has divided the community of Wiluna with it's planned uranium mine has offered anti- nuclear protesters and Greens senators Scott Ludlam and Rachel Siewert a tour of their Millipede and Centipede project. Earlier today Danny Teece-Johnson spoke exclusively with Aunty Jenny Munro's daughter Lorna Munro, who grew up in the Block and speaks about its history, its legacy and what the future holds for the area's youth. The display - with more than 600 treasured artefacts - examines the significance of the tools to Aboriginal culture and identity. First Nations students from the university were some of the first to view the exhibition. Nakari Thorpe caught up with them, at the Macleay Museum. There have been calls for a similar movement here in Australia, due to our own troubled racial history.
