The Gordon Estate in Dubbo was controversially pulled down in 2006 and the state government has claimed it was successful in reducing crime and anti-social behaviour. But the disadvantage and much of the crime in Dubbo slowly shifted to another, largely indigenous estate across town. There's fear in the community that this one too could be knocked down.
