Moree identified as a potential site for the ‘healthy welfare card’ trial

The Federal Government is moving cautiously ahead with its plans to trial a new welfare card which restricts gambling and alcohol purchases. It appears the regional town of Moree in northern New South Wales will be one of the communities where the Healthy Welfare Card will be tested - after Government talks with service providers in the town.
