Proposed Indigenous name change of Russel Island to ‘Canaipa’ - 'place of ironbark spear'

Residents of the Redlands City Council area, east of Brisbane, will be asked their opinion on changing Russell Island in Moreton Bay to its Aboriginal name, Canaipa. The plan has been welcomed by Traditional Owners, the Quandamooka. NITV News QLD Correspondent David Liddle has the story.
