The federal government has announced its draft religious discrimination bill.
Attorney-General Christian Porter unveiled the proposed legislation while addressing religious leaders inside the Great Synagogue in Sydney.
Mr Porter says the government recognises the role faith plays in many Australians' lives and the need to legally protect it.
