St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle was the venue for the royal wedding of Britain's Prince Harry and US actress Meghan Markle. To make the royal wedding a memorable and perfect one, city councillors were kept busy. British Bangladeshi Shamsul Islam Shelim is one of the councillors and was involved in the ceremony. SBS Bangla spoke with the Mr. Shelim about the royal wedding.
Speaking to SBS Bangla, Councillor Shamsul Islam Shelim said, “The tourists came in the city seven days before the wedding, they stayed in their tents which were tied on the footpath to see the royal couple closely.”

“Security was a big issue, the officers always used to talk to us about the plan. I am feeling so good that everything has gone with the plan so nicely," said Councillor Shamsul Islam Shelim.
