Home Affairs Minister Clare O'Neill and Education Minister Jason Clare made the joint announcement as part of a series of measures to address the shortage of skilled workers.
The work visa of the select degree holders of different levels may be extended by another two years.
The final announcement on this matter will come in October.
To address workforce shortage student visa work hours have been temporarily relaxed until June 30, 2023.
