The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet has launched an urgent investigation into how thousands of pages of top-secret information surfaced in two second-hand filing cabinets. The highly classified documents should have remained confidential for decades, but, in a major security breach, were obtained by the media. Some of the inner workings of the past five federal governments have been revealed publicly, but perhaps the most bizarre twist is how it happened. It is being described as one of the biggest breaches of parliamentary security in Australian history
