Rabindranath Tagore was remembered on his 75th death anniversary

Poet Rabindranath Tagore was fountainhead of Bengali wisdom. Nobody had influenced the minds of so many Bangla -speaking people before or after him. His influence has been compared, by many, to Shakespeare in the English-speaking world. Tagore received Nobel Prize in literature in 1913. For Bangalies, Rabindranath holds special significance. Tagore, who enriched the Bangla language and literature with his astounding talent and merit, died in 1941 at the age of 80.
