Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic year

AUSTRALIA, Sydney: Lakemba Mosque
Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic year, is associated with daily fasts and prayers. Ramadan, always in the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, Ramadan is intended to reconnect Muslims with their Creator and their spirituality through fasting and special prayers. Ramadan is perhaps best known for the month-long requirement to fast between dawn and sunset. Muslims are encouraged to eat in moderation at the breaking of the fast each day to give them time and energy for prayer, self-reflection and reconnection with their Creator.
