Despite having no prior filmmaking experience, Shawon Khan, who works in the Australian public service, always harboured the desire to do so.
Khan took inspiration from another renowned filmmaker, Mira Nair, who once said, “If we don't tell our own story, no one else will.”
In an effort to tell his 'own story,' Shawon Khan produced the film 'Geometry, The Movie' in 2020.
In 2021, the film was nominated for the 'ZEE5 Global Contest Festival' as the only entry from Australia.
The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime in the US and UK.
Shawon Khan advises new creators to focus on creating good content initially, rather than solely chasing money or fame.
