From Germany to Australia — and from an idea to your own business: Thorsten Krause lives by the Australian motto “to give it a crack.” In addition to his successful pretzel shop in Byron Bay, he now runs a food truck with a friend, from which he sells his baking goods. In conversation, he talks about what makes good pretzels, why courage is sometimes more important than perfection, how he found a sense of belonging in Australia — and what role volunteering plays in this.
