Algorithm against extinction: AI protection for koalas

The Australian koala is under pressure: habitat loss due to deforestation, increasing road traffic and the consequences of climate change are massively affecting the species. With the help of AI-based data evaluation, automatic recognition and monitoring, scientists are trying to protect koalas and better preserve their habitats.
