Australian team wins Small Satellite Mission of the Year Award

With its CubeSat “Waratah Seed 1”, an Australian space team won the international prize for the best satellite mission of the year — competing against heavyweights such as NASA and ESA. The satellite, barely bigger than a shoe box, carried nine experiments into space and impressively proved that Australia can play an important role in the global “New Space” race.
