Austria and its new president

Alexander Van der Bellen ist the first European head of state with a green political background. However, the way he came to power was spectacular and most of the world followed the election thriller in Vienna, including Australia. Alexandra Föderl-Schmid is one of Austria's most senior journalists and she has her own take on why her fellow countrymen voted the way they did. She also explains what the future may bring for a country that has lost faith in its two major political parties.
