There are 25,000 registered Swiss in Australia. Two thirds of them are born here. But what are their rights and duties, and how do their partners (and the partners of first generation migrants) obtain the coveted Swiss citizenship?
To find out, Christian Froelicher ventured to the Swiss Club of Victoria, in Melbourne's Flinders Lane, meeting up with Deputy Consul General Eros Robbiani from the Consulate General of Switzerland in Sydney. The native Italian speaker, from the Canton of Tessin, came to Melbourne to educate the Swiss Community of Victoria about recent developments.
