You may have one in your own kitchen... A fridge made in Orange NSW, by Electrolux. But did you know that the success of the Australian operations were grounded in know-how brought in from Germany? Take Max Fricke from Berlin. The war veteran and accordeon enthusiast came to Australia in 1952 and immediately fell in love with his new work and life in Orange. He worked at Electrolux for 34 years and ensured the production would never stand still. His hearing may not be as good as it could be, but at 94 years and counting, he's as articulate as ever.
