ESA inaugurates deep space antenna in Western Australia

Last Saturday, the European Space Agency ESA officially inaugurated its fourth deep space antenna, the New Norcia 3, in a small monastery town in Western Australia. We spoke to ESA's Head of Ground Station Engineering, Mehran Sarkarati, about how this antenna will improve the communication with space missions in the solar system and if it could actually enable a phone call with Mars.
