The German women's national team played a strong tournament at the European Championships in Switzerland. In the midst of soccer fever was sports fan and DFB fan club member Oli Kerbler from Melbourne, who captured the special atmosphere on site for us.

Oli Kerbler has been an enthusiastic fan of the German national team since childhood and has missed virtually no World or European Championship game between the DFB teams on site in the stadium since 1988. In the last 20 years, the German, who lives in Melbourne, regularly flies halfway around the globe to his teams' tournaments. He is also taking part in the current European Women's Championships in Switzerland.

Even though the German team's summer fairy tale came to an end in the semi-finals, it was a sensational tournament for Oli. He has been an enthusiastic fan of the women's national team for years and is closely following the development of women's soccer — and sees in the success of this tournament a reassurance for all supporters of the sport.
