SBS and the German Program are celebrating their 50th anniversary. Hans D. Schröder has been an attentive listener for decades. Under his leadership, the traditional German company Merck developed into one of the leading chemical and pharmaceutical companies in Australia. Shortly after arriving in Melbourne, he discovered the German-language program with news and interviews that interested him very much. He says it helped him get off to a good start in the new country.
