Australia has become rich by extracting our natural resources. But that alone is not enough for the future. We want to play a role in the area of further processing and thus create jobs and earn a living. It's easier said than done. Dr. Jens Gönnemann is Managing Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre. Under his leadership, Australia will develop from a 'lucky country” to a “smart country” that is able to produce complex things. Are we making progress on this path?
