Glam slam in Melbourne: How a queer tennis tournament makes the Australian Open more inclusive

While the world's elite are fighting for Grand Slam titles at the Australian Open, a special tournament is taking place in the shadow of the big arenas: the Glam Slam. Around 300 players from all over the world compete here — open to the LGBTQI community and their allies. For many, it's less about trophies and more about visibility, community, and the feeling of belonging.
